Chesapeake Climate Action Network has been fighting for climate solutions since 2002. At state legislatures, in the media, and in the streets of Washington, D.C., our team of organizers, policy advocates, fundraisers, and communications professionals is working on strategic, creative campaigns to ensure a better future for the Chesapeake region and beyond.

We are based in Takoma Park, MD, as well as Richmond, Norfolk, and Fairfax VA, allowing us to build a powerful grassroots network of community leaders and volunteers who are working every day to stop pipelines, pressure the EPA to regulate polluters, expand clean energy infrastructure, and more. Our sister organization, CCAN Action Fund, lobbies, educates voters, and participates in the electoral process to move our country into a leadership position on the climate crisis.

Our people are our most valuable resource, and we pride ourselves on making our jobs sustainable, with living wages, best-in-class benefits, and flexibility to allow our employees to take care of themselves and their families. Full-time staff can expect four weeks of paid vacation, healthcare including dental and vision insurance for employees and dependents, access to a 401(k) with a 4% employer match, thirteen paid holidays, paid sick and personal leave, and a three-week paid sabbatical after three years of service.

Check out our current opportunities below – we look forward to hearing from you.
